What this tool does
One consistent link format, across every channel your team touches.
A UTM builder sounds trivial — until five people on your team tag the same campaign five different ways. This tool does the boring part properly: it assembles valid parameters, keeps the structure identical every time, and hands you a link that your analytics tool can group without guesswork.
Clean attribution
See exactly which source, medium and campaign produced each visit instead of a jumble of untagged referrals.
Comparable reports
Lowercase, consistent parameter names mean GA4 groups campaigns the same way every week — no more merged or missing rows.
Faster campaign shipping
No template spreadsheets or copy-paste mistakes. Build, copy and ship the link in under a minute.
How it works
Four steps, one minute.
01
Paste your URL
The page the click should land on — a demo request, a pricing page, a gated report.
02
Name the traffic
Source is where it comes from (google, linkedin). Medium is what kind of traffic it is (cpc, email).
03
Name the campaign
Use one convention like q3-demand-gen so every channel for the push rolls into one report line.
04
Copy and ship
Drop the link into your ads, emails or posts. Analytics does the rest automatically.
FAQs
UTM questions, answered.
What is a UTM parameter?
UTM parameters are small tags you add to the end of a URL, like utm_source or utm_campaign. When someone clicks the link, your analytics tool reads those tags and tells you exactly which channel, campaign and creative brought the visitor. Without them, all your traffic collapses into one anonymous 'referral' line.
Does adding UTM parameters hurt SEO?
No. UTM parameters don't affect rankings. The important thing is not to use UTM-tagged URLs in your internal links or sitemap — always link internally to the clean URL and reserve tagged links for paid campaigns, emails, social posts and partner placements. This tool builds those outbound links for you.
What should I put in utm_source and utm_medium?
utm_source is where the traffic comes from — google, linkedin, newsletter, partner-name. utm_medium is the kind of traffic — cpc for paid ads, email for newsletters, social for organic social, referral for partner placements. Keeping these two consistent across your team is what makes reports comparable.
Do I need utm_term and utm_content?
They're optional. Use utm_term when you're running paid search and want to see which keyword triggered the ad. Use utm_content when one campaign has multiple creatives, buttons or placements and you want to know which one people clicked.
Why do my UTM reports look messy even though I tag links?
Almost always naming inconsistency. linkedin, LinkedIn and LinkedIn-paid register as three different sources in most analytics tools. Pick lowercase, hyphen-separated names, document them once, and every link you build here will follow the same convention.
